Voices for Independence is currently seeking a full-time Assistive Technology Clerical Assistant to provide services within our service area.

The Assistive Technology Clerical Assistant provides essential administrative support for the Assistive Technology (AT) program at Voices for Independence. This role focuses on managing referrals, documentation, ordering, scheduling, and logistical aspects of the AT program, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and effectively. The position plays a critical role in supporting the independence and empowerment of individuals with disabilities by facilitating access to necessary assistive technologies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a healthcare of social services setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with assistive technology devices and software.
  • Familiarity with CIL Suite or similar database management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Within one year in the position, employees must acquire a thorough understanding of the Independent Living Movement, its philosophy, principles, and values and the ability to communicate these to others
  • A strong aptitude for using computer-based information sources.
