Support Independence, One Home at a Time!
Voices for Independence (VFI) is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate CHORES Program Coordinator to help individuals with disabilities maintain safe, clean, and independent living environments. In this role, you’ll coordinate in-home cleaning and pest control services, communicate with clients, and ensure services meet quality and safety standards.
About Voices for Independence
The mission of VFI is to empower people with disabilities and promote independent living. As a Center for Independent Living (CIL), we provide core services such as advocacy, peer support, skills training, information and referral, and deinstitutionalization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and assign CHORES and pest control services under the direction of the Program Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, assignments, and completions.
- Assist with intake assessments and determine service eligibility.
- Communicate with clients to confirm appointments, provide instructions, and follow up on satisfaction.
- Monitor service quality and safety, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Complete the required documentation and data entry accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with referral agencies, service providers, and team members to ensure smooth service delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a community-based, social services, or in-home service setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and follow pest prevention and cleaning protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or coursework in Human Services, Social Work, Environmental Health, or related field.
- Personal experience within the disability community.
- Experience with Home and Community-Based Services.
- Familiarity with home safety standards.
- Experience with service documentation or data entry.
Work Environment
- Combination of office and field work.
- Travel required within VFI’s service area.
- Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
