At Voices for Independence (VFI), we are dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities achieve more independent and fulfilling lives. As a Center for Independent Living, we empower our community through advocacy, peer support, skills training, information & referral, and deinstitutionalization. We’re seeking a passionate and organized Quality Assurance Coordinator to help ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services in compliance with state regulations and VFI standards.

 

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality of services provided through our Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) programs. This individual will oversee service performance data, facilitate internal audits, assist with training development, and coordinate communication between departments and provider agencies. You’ll be a key contributor to our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and with dignity.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits and phone calls to ensure participant satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve participant complaints with a person-centered approach.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate responses to external audits.
  • Collect and analyze service performance data to support continuous quality improvement.
  • Create quality reports and forecasts to support strategic decisions.
  • Develop and deliver training for new and existing staff.
  • Participate in provider meetings, webinars, and listening sessions to stay informed of regulatory changes.
  • Report regularly to the Director of Quality Management.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in HCBS service delivery.
  • Personal experience with a disability and/or direct involvement in the Disability Rights Movement may be substituted for formal education.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and goal-driven, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and experience with internal/external audits.
  • Proficiency in managing databases and reporting systems.
  • Understanding of relevant state regulations and standards.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
